As we come again to the end of another year, it’s always nice to reflect on what we’ve done and what there is still to do. This year we continued our exploration by reconnoitering the only National Park in California that we’d yet to see, the Channel Islands. We also witnessed several beautiful sights we had been hoping to see for quite some time: The Sequoias in fresh snow, a lunar eclipse close to home, the bristlecones of Death Valley, and more of the Sierra backcountry.
