The mountains are starting to thaw, and the valleys on the east side are doing wildly different things based on elevation and how wet the winter was. Many patterns begin to arise and the plants begin to photosynthesize. Green abounds! Irises and lupines start to flower at lower elevations, and the road to the bristlecones is usually at least partially open (no guarantees).
